Tips for personalizing your cups with sublimation

To achieve high-quality printing on your sublimation-ready plastic cups, we recommend following these steps:

1. Prepare your design: print your design on sublimation paper with mirror mode enabled.

2. Preheat your sublimation oven to a temperature of 200 °C.

3. Position your print: wrap the paper around the cup, with the printed side against the surface to be personalized. Hold it firmly in place with heat-resistant adhesive tape.

4. Install the shrink bag: place the cup in a shrink bag suitable for sublimation, then use a heat gun to make it fit its shape perfectly.

5. Insert the support mold inside the cup to prevent the plastic from deforming during heating.

6. Carry out the sublimation: place the cup in the oven preheated to 200 °C for 8 minutes.

7. Remove the cup from the oven using heat-resistant protective gloves. Immediately remove the inner mold while the cup is still hot. If the mold is difficult to remove, put the cup back in the oven at 200 °C for a few minutes to make removal easier.

8. Let it cool at room temperature or immerse it in lukewarm water if this method is approved by the manufacturer.

9. Remove the protective materials: carefully remove the shrink bag and sublimation paper to reveal your personalized creation.

Our advice: to achieve successful prints, make sure the paper stays firmly against the cup's surface and always use the inner mold. These precautions help limit transfer defects and the risk of deformation. Before starting series production, we recommend performing an initial printing test on the products.
